Crash Course is a giant in the world of educational content. I had the opportunity to contribute motion design to several series. I led animation on Crash Course Religions and Study Hall: Modern World History, animating episodes, handling deliveries, and occasionally annotating scripts.
Behind the Scenes
I've animated hundreds of characters across different Crash Course series. Characters are rigged with a combination of puppet pins, in-house plugins, and Rubberhose.
Full-screen type moments, lower thirds, text boxes, and more have been automated using in-house plugins.
Informative and Accurate
Every Crash Course series is educational. In addition to the series I've led, I've contributed motion to Botany, Biology, Psychology, and more. When animating an episode, every choice is informed by how well it conveys the necessary information.
Period-correct maps, clothing, dance, and historical dates are all handled with extreme precision and care.

With that being said, my goal is to create work that is playful and entertaining.
